Mt. Parnassos

Sacred Way
The Sacred Way (the path to the temple) was once lined with huge statues. It is said that Nero, in rage of a bad oracle he received, took 300 of the statues away. Apparently this did not dent the number of statues there because an explorer latter commented on the number of statues.(Being bronze, gold, or copper not many were left behind when the site was left to ruin.

The Theater

Gateway to the Stadium
Delphi was also the home to the Pythian Games. A festival held in honer of Apollo. This consisted of music, art, and theater, as well as athletic events. These games were held every four years though it was originally held every eight years. They lasted from six to eight days and all the Greek city states would take part.
